Villango is a conversation-based program. We do not run classic language courses, but rather a cultural exchange program. Local participants learn to speak fluently a foreign language, while native speakers are given the opportunity to discover a new culture. And for all of us, it is a unique opportunity to experience multiculturalism and make new international contacts.
Throughout the entire program, participants speak for about 70 hours! This may sound a lot but you won’t see the time go by because activities change every hour with new people and new goals. The program is intense but not tiring – you will have an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
You will be required to talk for most of the day, mainly in pairs but also in small groups. You will negotiate, improvise role plays and prepare presentations with Polish learners. Discussions will also continue during meals and over drinks. We do not impose any form of conversation on participants, but we can suggest interesting topics for discussion if you wish.
Participants are encouraged to engage in conversation during the various activities they can do during their stay: when they go for a walk, when they do sports, when they have tea or coffee etc. During the week, in addition to discussions in groups or during meals, you will have the opportunity to talk with each participant individually.
During the meals, you will be able to enjoy the international company of local participants and native speakers. Each table has the same number of locals and native speakers, which favours interesting exchanges and a relaxed atmosphere to get to know each other better. This is a unique opportunity to make new friends and go home with unforgettable memories.
